While Digital Bedrock’s standard operating procedure is to store digital assets offline for maximum security, we also offer an innovative partnership with Wasabi Technologies providing clients the option of “hot” cloud storage to complement our offline, secure digital preservation.  Wasabi’s cloud storage offers immediate access to digital content in a cloud environment. We perform on-going managed digital preservation actions on files selected by the client for digital preservation offline.

Media workflows have gone through tremendous transformation with traditional infrastructure and processes centered on durable storage media giving way to virtualized operations using cloud compute and storage.  However, valuable media assets still need to be secured for long-term preservation offline.  Hybrid storage architectures can be deployed so that both active access and managed preservation can be achieved beyond a reliance on physical media.
